Grey & Blue Nursery FREEBIES!

Remember the super cute nursery that I whipped up for Thomas? Well, today I am sharing two sets of files for some DIY projects. Yay!

The first set is for the DIY number artwork.

Go HERE to download the jpgs of the numbers. I printed these at home on cardstock. Then after painting a piece of plywood grey, I glued the numbers to the board and then sealed the whole board with two coats of modpodge. This is a similar process to the Family Tree Subway Art that I made a while back so you can check that out for more detailed instructions.

Using the same steps in the Family Tree Subway Art, I made the "Believe There is Good in the World" sign.

Here is the jpg if you would like to download it and make your own version!

If you use these for your own projects, I would love to see pictures! :)

Be sure to enter the contest to win a gift certficate to eDiaperCakes. See THIS post for the details. Contest ends Friday!

The First Giveaway of 2013!

If you haven't noticed, my Etsy shop has reopened after taking a short holiday. Allison is ready to take your orders for Build-A-Library baby shower items! In honor of the shop returning from vacation, we are hosting a fabulous giveaway from eDiaperCakes!

There are many things a baby shower needs but it won’t be perfect without the diaper cake! I love the one I made for my sister's shower but now that I have three kiddos, making my own might be too time consuming. So for those of you who want to leave it to the pros, eDiaperCakes is a great place to get your next diaper cake for the shower. They have a unique mix of cakes that uses high quality diapers. They have a line of book diaper cakes that uses classic characters like Good Night Moon, the Hungry Caterpillar, Peter Rabbit, Guess How Much I Love You, and more. How perfect would these be at your Build-A-Library baby shower??!!

Their diaper cakes make a good value for what you can buy on the internet today. Each of their cakes uses approximately 75 diapers and it comes with travel size Johnson’s & Johnson’s products. They also put baby goodies such as pacifier, wash cloths, baby bibs, receiving blankets, spoon, brush & comb, and a manicure set. You won’t see them in every diaper cake but you will see between 4 to 6 items. Not to mention that everything is arranged beautifully with matching colored ribbons. Their cakes end up looking so adorable!

Every diaper cake that they make is made by hand. Currently, eDiaperCakes only makes four tier cakes but they plan on introducing smaller versions. Every diaper cake they sell gets assembled in two business days and then it’s given to Fedex. They don’t include baby items that they wouldn't use on their own children.

So when you buy from eDiaperCakes, who are you buying from? The company started early in 2012 and they are located in Michigan. The owner gave birth to a baby girl the following year and she wanted to create a company to show her DIY passion. E Diaper Cakes is a mom-run, mom-owned company. If you haven’t seen their website, I’d recommend that you take a gander.

eDiaperCakes is going to give the giveaway winner a $40.00 gift certificate which is good even on sales items! (thank you, eDiaperCakes!) Here's how you can enter to win:

1. MANDATORY ENTRY: Go to eDiaperCakes and look around. Come back to lil Mop Top and leave a comment saying which diaper cake is your favorite.

2. EXTRA ENTRY (counts DOUBLE!) : Pin your favorite diaper cake from eDiaperCakes on Pinterest. Come back to lil Mop Top and leave a comment saying you pinned it! Be sure to leave TWO comments so you can be entered twice!

3. EXTRA ENTRY: If you aren't a fan already, like lil Mop Top on Facebook and comment here that you like lil Mop Top!

So you have FOUR ways to get entered in this giveaway! A winner will be picked at random on Friday, January 11th at 9pm CST. Good luck!

Baby Thomas Alex has arrived!

Last Wednesday I posted about Thomas' nursery, writing: "if I can just clean up my house today, he is welcome to show up anytime now!" Well Thomas must have taken me quite literally because I went to my check up Wednesday morning and was sent directly to the hospital to have the baby a week before my scheduled c-section. Thomas Alex was born mere hours later!

He is sweet, perfect, and precious!

We are in love! John and Matthew have been the best big brothers. Our sweet family feels complete and I am just so happy being home with my three big sweet boys!
